本種はこれまで本州の平地～山地で５～８月に記録されている。寄主植物はスギの新葉で、その他ヒノキ、クロベからも得られている。オスは未知。

This species has been recorded from the lowlands to mountainous areas at Honshu in May to August so far. It feeds on young leaves of Cryptomeria japonica and also occurs on Chamaecyparis obtusa and Thuja standishii. Male is unknown.
